Three foods to boost your fat loss!

Most of us know that what we put in to our bodies is what we become. Yet is is so confusing with all the information thrown at us, what should we eat for fat loss?

omega-coconut-oilIt might surprise you to know that one food that can help aid fat loss is coconut oil. It is made of a medium chain fatty acid and has been shown to significantly lower LDL’s (bad cholestorol) and also helps to add a shiny glow to your skin.

The next food is almonds. They also contain fats and while this blog is not about the science, almonds keep coming up in fat loss studies as a significant aid for snack replacements. If you eat 10 almonds instead of a muffin, you will lower your calorie intake while improving your fibre and calcium. I choose the insecticide free types found at my local health store.

Of all fruits that aid fat loss, grapefruit comes up trumps. Choose the pink variety and cut it into cubes. It can be put into a container and taken along to work for that afternoon carb boost. For a complete meal mix with some walnuts and almonds.

There are many more food tips to come but if we work on the k.i.s.s principle for now then we can make gradual changes that will aid a long term goal. So try it this week.                                                     Try a grapefruit instead of your pear or mandarine. Replace the bakery goods with some almonds and add a tablespoon of coconut oil to your stir fry or salad.

Hi Tim Just having a look at your site. I have a lot of clients in Brisbane and some are looking for a trainer. Can you please tell me which parts of Brisbane you cover?

Looking forward to hearing from you
    Regards Monica
